Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Employment
While also considered federal employment, NAF employment differs from federal civil service employment because the monies used to pay the salaries of NAF employees are self-generated by the base facilities. Civil service positions are paid for by money appropriated by Congress. 
NAF employees receive competitive pay, advancement opportunities, enjoyable and rewarding work, and use of all base amenities including he Fitness Center, Base Pool, Golf Course, Bowling Alley, among others.
Employment Categories:
Regular Full-Time NAF
Employees work 35-40 hours per week and are entitled to health, dental life insurance, 401K, and retirement benefits.
Regular Part-time NAF
Employees work 20-34 hours per week and are entitled to to health, dental life insurance, 401K, and retirement benefits. benefits.
Flex NAF
Employees work between 0-40 hours per week based on the needs of the activity.
